The pictures and the actual food were completely different. We ordered the spicy dry mix for Togo , but when we opened it at home, it was basically just boiled ingredients without soup, covered with some sesame-based sauce. There was no spicy flavor at all. No one asked us how spicy we wanted it. A dish advertised as a spicy dry mix should have at least some level of heat and the signature mala flavor. This tasted nothing like a spicy mala dry mix . Very misleading and extremely disappointing.

Food was good, prices are decent. However, we found plastic in our food. When we pointed this out to the employees, they neither apologized nor offered a refund. One star for lack of basic human decency. Update: After getting in contact with the owners, they kindly offered a refund to the members of my party that had found plastic in their food. Updating review.

1. I really like the spicy dry mix, and I realized that I prefer to have dry malatang! 2. The spot has chill casual vibes! The interior is cozy! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! Decent malatang and pretty spicy if you choose the spiciest category called “wild”. Only complaint is the fish ball options weren’t that great and limited selection of meats, veggies and seafood. Reasonable price though at about $15.99 per pound.

Love that this place opens till midnight! Maybe bc I came around 10:30PM, the variety didn’t seem too huge to me. The ingredients also didnt seem super fresh to me, but again maybe bc I came late. We chose an open table and one of the workers got us water which was nice. There’s also a decent sized sauce bar with the basic essentials. The place was pretty spacious with a lot of open tables and is very clean. I got the beef base and did feel the soup was on the saltier side, but there’s flavor. I’d def come back as a late night craving
